Dear Friends and Dancers, I am saddened to announce that the 2010 Smoky Mountain Boogie has been canceled due to woefully lagging ticket sales. It is obvious that we will be unable to reach necessary sales in the remaining month. The Board of Directors of the Smoky Mountain Shaggers met Tuesday the 5th of January and it was the unanimous opinion of the Board to do so at this time to allow those of you who have made plans or were in the process of making pans to attend, adequate time to make other plans. All ticket sales will be reimbursed as soon as possible. As you might expect the future of the Smoky Mountain Boogie is in doubt. The membership of the Smoky Mountain Shaggers will meet and determine where we will go from here. It has been a great run (11 years) and we have met and made great friends over this time.
